    Hi,

Please go to Appearance → Customize → Featured Slider → General: turn off the "Hide Categories Of Post" option.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

It is showing but it's right above the text which is not what I want. I want to show just the main primary category (not subcategories) and on the top right or left corner of the post thumbnail. An example image is attached.

    Hi,

The current version of Soledad doesn't support showing the categories like the screenshot. We'll check and consider adding this in the future theme update.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

Any particular timings on when we can see it being implemented?

Can I at least change the categories so that only the main category shows instead of subcategories on there like the image I sent as an example?

    Hi,

You can force to show the primary category only by going to Appearance → Customize → General → General Settings: turn on the "Show Primary Category from "Yoast SEO" or "Rank Math" only" option.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

Thank you. That will be enough. It won't affect any other aspect of the theme or function of the website right? I do use rank math pro.

    Hi,

This option will apply to all the post categories area shown on your site.
