I have almost 200 articles on my website, and my homepage is very optimized due to lazy load, CSS/HTML minify, and w3 cache installed by penci support. But there are certain pages (78 to be exact) where my LCP is too high, and I am failing core web vitals tests. These pages are the same as the other pages, but I don't get why these specific pages are losing core web vitals tests.

They all have 300-1000 words of content, 1 feature image, 1 embedded tweet, and a video, and that's it. I have shared 1 out of those 78 pages above. Please help me fix these pages and core web vitals tests. Thank you

    Hi,

I've checked your site, and some pages load a lot of Google Adsense ads so the LCP score will be higher than another page, here is a reported detail from Google.

If you want totally improve your site page, you need to delay all the Google Ads by going to Appearance → Customize → Speed Optimization → Optimize JavaScripts: turn on the "Delay Google Ads".

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

I have done all the optimization including lazy load for images as well as the Google ads from the theme customizer. That's why I am confused.

One more thing I can see is that the feature image of single posts isn't lazy loading. When you open homepage all images lazy load but when you posts single posts, all images lazy load apart from the feature images. Is that the normal behaviour and is that the reason certain pages have higher lcp?

    Hi,

I've removed the unnecessary adsbygoogle.js file on your site at Appearance → Customize → Logo & Header → General.

Here is the latest result of your page:

    Please check.

Thank you. So can you explain the problem? Did I have extra google ads code in the header or what?

  • kamranhere replied

And is it fixed in other pages as well?

    Hi,

    1. You only need to add the "adsbygoogle.js" 1 time only on your page,

    2. The modification will apply to the entire site.

    PenciDesign.
