I hurriedly forgot to install a child theme. Now I have already made a lot of adjustments in, for example, the header and footer and all kinds of other elements. Now I install the child theme and as I expected a lot of styling has been lost. Now I have deactivated the child theme again. Is there a way to get this right with the child theme?
Hi,
I hurriedly forgot to install a child theme. Now I have already made a lot of adjustments in, for example, the header and footer and all kinds of other elements. Now I install the child theme and as I expected a lot of styling has been lost. Now I have deactivated the child theme again. Is there a way to get this right with the child theme?
Kind regards,

Hi,
Please follow these steps:
1. Install the Customizer Reset – Export & Import plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/customizer-reset/, then go to Appearance → Customize: export the current customizer settings,
2. Activate the child theme/parent theme, go to Appearance → Customize: import the file you've exported in step 1.
