Thanks for that document, unfortunately, WP Engine does not allow for sub-folders or sub-domains
I have seen plugins that can assist with a theme for pages vs posts but it is very outdated and don't want to rely on a plugin but have heard others doing this with their website.
I have a complete staging environment already set up with my current website already copied and now setting up the blog side of things and that is where I am having the issue getting it to look like this https://dcgusadev.wpengine.com/
Sorry for the miscommunication in the previous reply. Following the rules of WP Engine, there is no way to set up 2 WordPress themes & installing like the way you want.
I finished testing our setup for our dev and the theme is doing great. we are now ready to merge the theme with our main website.
How can I use the child theme for my blog pages only and keep my Astra Theme for the main website without doing a multi-site?
Can I have both running?
Hi,
Yes. You can install the blog site as the sub-folder of the main site. For example yoursite.com/blog-page.

Hi,
For this case, you should contact the WP Engine supporter and request they create a staging site for you.
