We use custom sidebars for different departments within our magazine. We are using this staging site before we move it over as the live site. When I choose the branded sidebar we want to appear —it reverts back to the main sidebar.

In the prior version we are using 2.xx the sidebar also become whatever the category sidebar is for the posts appearing in it. Does this not have that feature any longer?

Is there another option I'm overlooking that is not making it work? Please point me in the right direction.

    Rob

    Hi,

The custom sidebar you've selected only displays on the category page. It can't display on the post belonging to the category you've selected because one post can have multiple categories.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

    Hi,

The sidebar settings on the post editor screen don't save correctly because your server has limited the "max_input_vars" value.

Please request the hosting supporter increase this value to 3000 then try to save again.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.
