    Hi,

I use the Soledad theme for my Wordpress Blog.

I want to give the user the chance to switch the language from German to English. This is why I installed the Plugin Polylang (basic, not pro). But since I've installed and used it, my backend and frontend are incredibly slow. Something doesn't work. I have already deactivated all other plugins to check if there might be a problem between polylang and another plugin. But it doesn't seem to have problems with another plugin. I'm kind of desperate because that plugin should bei compatible with the Soledad theme. What have I done wrong?

    Hi,

I've disabled the wpml-config.xml configuration file - this is the main reason why your site loads slowly when activating the Polylang plugin.

If your site still loading slowly, you should contact the Polylang plugin author to get effiency solution here: https://polylang.pro/support/

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

    Hi,

    1. I've deleted the "wpml-config.xml" from the theme folder,

    2. Maybe something is wrong with the WP-JSON or another plugin conflicts with the new UI of WordPress,

Please install the Classic Editor plugin for your site: https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/. This plugin will revert the editor screen to the old look.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

    Hi,

    1. This is a config file for the multilanguage plugin. The multilanguage plugin will scan all the settings on the Customizer so that it may be a problem for your site. There is no way to deactivate it permanently.

    2. In this case, you should deactivate all plugins (exclude plugins that come with Soledad) and then re-activate them one by one to check which plugins cause this issue.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.
