I uploaded some quizzes from try interact on my site. They slowed down my site. Is there something I can do? Thanks!

    Hi,

    1. I've checked your site but haven't found any issue relevant to the quiz content,

    2. Soledad theme already includes the lazyload image features, so you need to turn off this option on the W3 Total Cache plugin,

    3. Please also disable the Cloudflare Rocket Loader option because the Penci Shortcode & Performance plugin already optimizes all the JS files/scripts.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

I disabled Cloudflare Rocket and images o w3. Could you check my other settings?

    Hi,

    1. I've loaded your site with the quiz content without any issues or slowly,

    2. If your browser loads the quiz content slowly, please check the internet connection. The quiz content loading from the iframe so the Soledad theme doesn't affect to this case.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

Thank you. Could you help me with one more thing? Siteground advised me to do this https://my.siteground.com/support/tutorials/wordpress/real-cron-job. I really don't want to mess with my PHP. Could you help me?

Ok, I will try. But you told me not to mess with themes code. Is it ok for me to do this?

  • Marina747 replied

Do I add the code through plugin, or in theme as suggested in description? Where do I find theme coding?

    PenciDesign replied

    Hi,

You should add all the code about cronjob into the wp-config.php file via File Manager on the Siteground dashboard.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

  • Marina747 replied

But first I need to add a code on my WordPress dashboard:

"First, you need to disable the script to be executed every time someone loads one of your pages. To do this, open the wp-config.php file in your main WordPress folder and add the following line before the “/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */” line:

    define('DISABLE_WP_CRON', true);

    Hi,

I've written in the previous comment, all the code about the WordPress cronjob, you need to edit and add to the wp-config.php plugin.

I recommend: if you don't know how to do that and how this code affects your site, you shouldn't do it.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.
