    After updating the theme, we now have an author box at the bottom of the homepage, how do we remove it?

    Hi,

    Have you installed the Co-Authors plugin? This author box comes from one of the plugin you installed, so please check all the plugin settings and disable it.

    yes, it was the PublishPress Authors plugin conflicting...

    I can disable it but is there a way to show authors directly at the bottom of each post directly from Soledad theme?

    Hi,

    Yes. Soledad already included the Author Box, please go to Appearance → Customize → Single Posts → General: turn off the "Hide Author Box" option.
