My website is failing the CLS-check. It seems the only problem is 'avoid non-composited animations'. Which has 'Unsupported CSS Properties: background-position-x, background-position-y'
Great! It seems like a nice feature.. but the side effect is that my site fails the 'Core Web Vitals Assesment' on the Cumulative Lay Out Shift.. which in the end has a negative impact on user friendliness and SEO..
I also see some issues on the performance tab.. have you got any tips on improving the FCP & LCP scores and to avoid the exessive DOM size?
Today I found out, the CLS 'error' is decreasing my search traffic.
If you look at the screenshots below, you see that since Google finds it neccesary to 'avoid non-composited animations'. (Which has 'Unsupported CSS Properties: background-position-x, background-position-y').. it stopped showing my website for several queries..
This is the average score of the last x days provided by Google. I'm not familiar with the exact method they use to collect this data, but I have checked your site today and haven't found any issues related to the Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS).
I know it is an avg score. But if you check with lighthouse you get the same error..
As you can see.. it is just one 'error'. I think if we update the CSS where these x and y are defined.. all is great.. But I don't know where these are set (in which file or whatsoever)
Off course I don't want to be a pain in the ass.. but I kind of need this fixed.. I lose half of my traffic cause of this thingy..
Firstly, I want to express my appreciation for the efforts you have put into addressing our website's issues thus far. Your support is invaluable to me.
However, it seems that there is a lack of recognition regarding the severity of the problem we are facing. As indicated by the attached screenshots from Google Search Console, some of our pages are no longer appearing in the SERPs due to the "insufficient" Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) score.
Considering the impact this issue has on our online visibility and potential organic traffic, I kindly request that you give it another thorough review. It is crucial for us to address this problem promptly and find a suitable resolution. If you feel that you have exhausted all options, feel free to let me know, so I can explore other options
Your expertise and dedication to resolving these matters are highly valued, and I have confidence in your ability to find a solution.

Hi,
This is a browser compatibility notice, it doesn't work on Google Chrome but it works for another browser.

Hi,
I've checked your site, here is some suggestion before I make a new configuration for your site:
- Please use the cache features on the WP-Rocket only, this means turning off all the optimization options,
- Following the pagespeed optimization exclusive for Soledad at this link: https://soledad.pencidesign.net/soledad-document/#speed-optimization
- Maybe some other cache plugin works better & gets a high performance than WP-Rocket (W3T, Cache Enabler).

Hi,
The CLS issue has less to do with speed. (I will optimize for that).
See the screenshots below for the issue..
A little lower you can see the 'error' causing the page to fail the 'Core Web Vitals Assesment'.

Hi,
I've written in the previous reply, the CSS method properties don't affect the SEO.
Google Chrome doesn't support these CSS rules but it works for another browser.

Hi,
In this case, please wait for me to research the solution and send you an update soon.
Regards,
PenciDesign.
Great! Any idea when you expect the update?
Hi,
The problem maybe takes 2-3 days.
Regards,
PenciDesign.
Thanks for the update..
I think it is caused by the 'penci-lazy'-thing.. as all 'errors' has that one in common.
Hi, is there an update yet?
Hi,
I still research & find the solution for your site.
Please keep waiting.
Regards,
PenciDesign.
Ok. I am patient.. or at least I try..
When can I expect an update?
