Improve: Update the schema markup for the Penci Recipe plugin to align with the latest Google updates. This will improve the validation of your recipes on Google. After updating the Penci Recipe plugin, remember to regenerate thumbnails to achieve the best results..
Ok, because we worked really hard to get our SEO position.
2 other questions:
Is it for the updated rich snippet schema markup no problem that we have bulletpoints for the ingredients at the moment? See https://prnt.sc/kCSSjP7YsJ4o
Does this Penci recipe update has anything to do with my request for scheme.org ingredients? Ingredients seemed to be stored within one field and we asked for the follow: Html for the user is rendered as an ul list with li elements (or other structured html). Search engines are presented with multiple ingredients through schema-org.
In my initial response, I mentioned that the update doesn't impact the design; rather, it updates the Google Rich Snippet scheme data. It also doesn't have a negative effect on your site position in the SERP.
Last question, you mentioned in the update changelog: "After updating the Penci Recipe plugin, remember to regenerate thumbnails to achieve the best results.."
How do I do this and what have the thumbnails to do with schema markup?
The schema markup should include three different image sizes, and our plugin has already added these image sizes. All you need to do is regenerate all the thumbnails to generate files in these specified image sizes.
Could regenerating all the thumbnails effect my images on the website? I have a lot you see (over 3000 images) and am afraid something's happening (also with my SERP).
Can you please read carefully what I say? Featured images is the second button....
The first button is regenerating thumbnails for all images (3313) and the second button is only for the featured images (811): https://prnt.sc/a9BB5xZPff3g
Hi,
I see in the update of 8.4.0:
What have you exactly improved? At the moment my ingredients look like this: https://prnt.sc/kCSSjP7YsJ4o
Will it looks after te update the same and could it harm my Google SEO rating?
Hi,
The update doesn't change the design, it updates the Google Rich Snippet scheme data.

PenciDesign.
Hi,
Ok. Does the rich snippet schema data looks different now? Can it effect my SEO rating negatively?
Hi,
It will improve the quality and your site's position on the SERP.

Hi,

Hi,
The Penci Recipe update follows the new guidelines of the Google Richet Snippet for Recipe content: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/recipe. It passed all the rich snippet validation data.
Regards,
PenciDesign.
Ah I see. So it wil not harm our position on the SERP negatively?
And can you please answer my first question :)
Hik
In my initial response, I mentioned that the update doesn't impact the design; rather, it updates the Google Rich Snippet scheme data. It also doesn't have a negative effect on your site position in the SERP.

Ok thanks.

How do I do this and what have the thumbnails to do with schema markup?
Hi,
Please install the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and follow the document at this link: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
It will update the schema markup and affect how your site appears on the SERP.

Hi,
I already have this plugin.
What have thumbnails to do with schema markup?
Hi,
Let's read the document from Google at this link:
The schema markup should include three different image sizes, and our plugin has already added these image sizes. All you need to do is regenerate all the thumbnails to generate files in these specified image sizes.

Hi,
Ok thanks.
Hi,
This plugin only generates the missing image size, so it may take 2-4 hours for 3000 images.
You need to click the first button.
Regards,
PenciDesign.
Hi,
2-4 hours? That long? Ok, and you're sure that it will not harm my website (also in that 2-4 hours)? Other soledad users also did?
And I have to do it for all the images? Not only the featured images..
Hi,
You only need to generate it for the featured image only.
Regards,
PenciDesign.
Hi,
But that's the second button right?
And can you please answer my other questions.
Hi,
Yes. This is a second button.
Regards,
PenciDesign.
Hi,
I'm confused. Here you said I have to click on the first button: https://prnt.sc/0l05tw0XL5v2
So, do I have to regenerate all images (first button) or only the featured images (second button).
Please be clear there it's important.
Hi,
I mean you need to generalize the featured image only, this means the first button.
Regards,
PenciDesign.
Hi,
Can you please read carefully what I say? Featured images is the second button....
The first button is regenerating thumbnails for all images (3313) and the second button is only for the featured images (811): https://prnt.sc/a9BB5xZPff3g
Hi,
Don't worry about the first or second buttons; simply click the button that generates the featured image.Regards,
PenciDesign.
Ok, but why did you (or your colleage) said:
"This plugin only generates the missing image size, so it may take 2-4 hours for 3000 images."
Does it also take 2-4 hours for only the featured images (811 in total)?
Hi,
The generation time depends on both the total number of images and your server's CPU. My estimate is based on a typical hosting plan.
Regards,
PenciDesign.
Ok, but in this case I don't have to regenerate 3000 images but 811 (featured images) right? So it will be less than 2-4 hours?
Hi,
On average, it takes about 1 second to generate one image. This means that generating 811 images will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

PenciDesign.
