    Hello -

I'm a wordpress, soledad theme, elementor pro, etc newb struggling to get the system to work.

At a very high level for now if you go to the site fokus.cx. you will see on the home page that the recent posts images doesnt' show the full image of the fokus.cx. The image is a 16:9 1920x1080 image transparent .png in the media directory. It shows cleanly in the homepage, but not in recent posts. It also doesn't show cleanly in say the 2 column grid layout and many other areas at times.

How do I even configure the 2 column grid layout. Is that in pages? I see it but when I select it, there is very little information. Should I be converting it to blocks?

Also, when I try to use elementor Pro to make pages I end up with very strange results. When editing in elementor pro things look great, but when I go to the page it is not right. sometimes the variables will show up live on the page.

Additionally, if I select the soledad menu in wordpress I get all the same options when I customize theme but they are not close to the values that I've been setting. What is the right place to configure things?

I apologize that I'm a newb. This is not easy to figure out. Thank you very much in advance. I really want to learn b/c this seems very powerful but I can't seem to get things right.

    Hi,

    1. Please go to Appearance → Customize → General → Manage Image Sizer: turn on the options in this section,

    2. Unfortunately, the current version of Soledad doesn't support converting Elementor elements to the WordPress block,

    3. Go to dashboard → Elementor → Settings → Features: turn off the "Improved CSS Loading" option,

    4. Please send me the screenshot related to the site issue.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

    Thanks for the reply.

    In order:

    1. What does that do or was it supposed to do? I disabled all options (you say turn on but do you mean disable. by default they were on, meaning not disabled.) was that the correct thing to do?

    2. On the theme page it says that Soledad theme is compatible with elementor, so I don't understand. Is this a current bug? Should I use WPBakery Page Builder to do advanced customizations?

"Soledad is a powerful theme. It supports 3 different ways to configure your website, depending on the way you like and are familiar with. You can use WordPress Customizer or Elementor Page Builder or WPBakery Page Builder to build your sites. All of them are simple to do. Pick your favorite!"

    3. Done - what is this supposed to do?

    4. attached, but you can also go to https://fokus.cx to see. Happy to provide the needed admin access for folks to take a look. thanks in advance!

I've been working on this and think I understand a few more things.

Please let me know where incorrect or not quite right. :)

    In order.

    1. means that the system won't generate files in those specific sizes anymore, but as this didn't solve the issue i think it just saves space? Please let me know as I'm learning. the knowledge and education are deeply appreciated!

I'm using a new plugin called Image Regenerate and Select Crop that helped me fix the issue on the home page, the recent posts area and the technology category page with 2 Grids Column layout. It's awesome

    2. Still curious about #2 on what to use and confused about what elementor can be used for?

    3. it seems like this being turned off just forces normal behavior as a way to see if it helps? If I have now resolved the file size issue is it wise to turn it back on?

    4. You can see the images are as I expected them by going to the site, but I"m now good on this issue. thanks

    Hi.

    1. Yes. If you turn off these options, WordPress will already load the full image size you uploaded without resized,

    2. Soledad is fully compatible with the Elementor and WPBakery Page Builder plugins. The problem is you can't combine the 3rd page builder with the WordPress Block editor mode,

    3. Turn off this option will force the Elementor always load all the CSS code that nessary for your page.
