Hello, we are trying to remove the visibility of of Categories our BigEmma website and inside "Customize - General - Category, Tags, Search, Archive" then we tried to active the option to "Hide Categories".

This does not seem to change anything and we have also tried to go to Settings - Permalinks and add a "." to Category Base but what the happens is that the top main menu / featured slider menu shows Error 404 Not found on all category links. The links will correctly have the "Category" base excluded, but as mentioned the featured slider links for all categories will be broken.

In other words when a person clicks Muscle Building then instead of going to https://bigemma.com/category/bodybuilding/muscle-building/then the person should be going to https://bigemma.com/bodybuilding/muscle-building/.

How would it be possible for us to solve this?

thank you very much in advance! ;o)

    ---

Note: The current page setting has the permalinks to default but with the "Hide Categories" enabled that does not seem to do any change. (Wordpress and Soledad Template is of latest version).

    Hi,

The Hide Categories option only hides the category listing on the post layouts, it doesn't affect the permalink.
