Hi, I need help with the penci recipe plugin schema markup. Since Google made the update with the obligation of recipeingredients and recipeinstruction step by step for step by step recipes, all the recipes on my blog, despite being in penci recipe, show problems marked in red with two specifications:
- Invalid object type for "recipeInstructions" field - You must specify "text" or "itemListElement" (in "recipeInstructions")
I saw that you made an update in September 2023 on the penci recipe plugin schema markup to adapt it to Google regulations. But honestly I have absolutely no idea what I should do. In this link you will find an example of a recipe https://www.sicilianicreativiincucina.it/orecchiette-al-cavolo-nero/ Can you help me by explaining how to use the Penci recipe plugin to solve this fundamental indexing problem for me? Thank you.
In this case, please ensure that you have uploaded the Soledad theme and all related plugins to their latest versions, clear all site caches, and then check again.
Obviously I did it yet, thanks. I wanna know If you have a guide to learn how this plugin works for recipe instructions and recipe ingredients. I'm not an expert and I need to be helped to use the plugin...Can you?
I have also another issue. In home page there are some featured categories but the categories with slider are not correctly visualized. Ad 'travel' 'viaggi' categories as you can clearly see here https://www.sicilianicreativiincucina.it/ if you scroll the page. How can I fix it?
Hallo, the issue with the slider in featured categories is solved, thanks.
But I think that my problem with penci recipe is not solved. Maybe I'm not able to explain correctly my question in English. I use penci recipe since when I bought the theme.
Last here Google put new rules about recipes step by step: in the field recipe instructions it's necessary to specify "text" o "itemListElement". I red that in September Soledad was updated to meet the new parameters of Google. But I'm not able to understand how I can use Penci recipe in the correct way.
Or maybe I'm wrong and this theme is not able to specify "text" o "itemListElement" in tthe Structured data for recipes (Recipe, How To, Item List)?
Thank you so much. It works! A stupid question: at this point, when I write an article, don't I have to do any further steps? Does schema markup work automatically?
I would like to customize the blog and make it as fast as possible but, since I purchased the theme, it has become much more complicated for me to manage it because it has become so rich and the management is too technical for me.

Hi,
I have configured the Penci Recipe and resolved the slider issue on your site. This problem was related to the SiteGround Optimizer plugin.

Hi,
I've fixed the recipe issue by re-installing the Penci Recipe plugin and clear all the site cache.

Another question. I saw here https://soledaddemo.pencidesign.net/soledad-personal-food-blog/ that is It is possible to build a central band on the home page with BROWSE RECIPES in different ways. What steps do I need to follow to do this?
I would like to customize the blog and make it as fast as possible but, since I purchased the theme, it has become much more complicated for me to manage it because it has become so rich and the management is too technical for me.
Thank you so much for the support.

Hi,
1. The schema markup will be added automatically,
2. The "BROWSE RECIPES" section was built with the Elementor Page Builder.

PenciDesign.
Thank you. Must I add manually Elementor plugin or is in the theme yet?
Ada
Hi,
Yes. You should install the Elementor plugin and follow the video document below:
