    Hi guys,

after updating to Soledad 8.5.7 my favicon is not showing on the frontend and it is also not included in the source code. In my backend I can still see it and can also find it in the source code.

What can I do to show my favicon again?

    Hi,

You are using the Elementor Theme Builder to override the default Soledad header/footer template files, which is why the favicon HTML isn’t being output.

Please refer to the documentation at this link to configure the favicon image with Elementor: https://elementor.com/help/add-a-favicon-to-your-website/

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

Thank you for your fast reply.

I already had that idea, so I deleted the favicon in Elementor. Now I put it back but it still not show in the frontend.

    What else can I try?

    Hi,

I manually added the favicon by inserting a custom code snippet from this link: https://worldonabudget.de/wp-admin/admin.php?page=edit-snippet&id=6

Please clear all the browser caches and check again.

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

So far it is not working.

I cleared the cache and tried 3 different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari). I still cannot see the favicon in the source code in the front end.

I have cleared the cache in Cloudflare as well and now it is working :)

    Thank you very much!

I have noticed that the favicon is not working on mobile devices.

Do you have any idea why it is working on desktop but not on mobile?

    Hi,

I've checked your site on my phone, the favicon image showing correctly, here is the screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/uoj42ns

Thank you for your reply and all your help so far.

I have checked it again with the following results:

Favicon works on Chrome (desktop), Firefox (desktop), Firefox (mobile), Safari (mobile)

Favicon works not on Chrome (mobile) and Safari (desktop)

I have cleared the browser cache of every browser before testing it. Do you have any idea why the favicon works in some settings and in others not?

    Hi,

The favicon image on your site is working properly in all browsers. Here’s a screenshot from my Safari: https://imgur.com/a/aZw99Nu

Please clear all browser caches and check again.

That is really strange. The favicon is now working in Safari but not on our homepage.

And it is still not working in Chrome on mobile devices for me. I have checked it again after clearing the cache another time.

However, I will take it as it is and have a eye on it. Thank you very much for your support!
