1/ Yes, most of the page layouts in PenNews are built using the WPBakery Page Builder.
2/ We always keep WPBakery Page Builder up to date. You can manually update it by deleting the plugin and reinstalling it via Appearance → Install Plugins.
As far as I can see I cannot download WPBakery like a normal plugin. I tried doing so from another installation and I cannot find WPBakery in the search results. Am I doing something wrong?
If I understand correctly WPBakery is needed for the correct functioning of PenNews, is that correct?
Is installing the Envato plugin the only way of updating WPBakery?

Won't deleting the plugin cause issues to the theme and general appearance?
By deleting the plugin, you mean the PenNews plugin, right?
I can then re-install PenNews (the plugin, not the theme), by downloading it from themeforest.com, right?
Hi,
You can manually force an update by deleting only the current version of the WPBakery Page Builder plugin.
For all other plugins and the main PenNews theme, please wait for the official update via the Envato Market plugin.

Thank you, this will work this time, but how do I ensure the plugin is updated in general?
