The site begins in Light Mode BUT, Headings and such are basically unreadable because they are nearly white in color. Oddly, if I then hit the Switch to go to Dark Mode the page background remains in Light Mode but it does change the Heading and such color to Black so they can be seen. Even more odd is when I hit the switch again which would technically then put it in Light Mode again, the background goes to black as if it was then in Dark Mode. So now, the switch is opposite of what it should be showing it's in Light Mode but it's actually in Dark Mode and vs. versa if I hit the switch yet again. So at first when going to the website people can't read headings, etc. unless they hit the Dark Mode switch and then all of a sudden the color of text changes but the background does not. Then if they hit the switch again, it goes to Dark Mode but it really should then be in Light Mode and the switch is all opposite of what it should be. See attachments.
You've configured the wrong settings in the Customizer.
If you want to enable the Light Mode/Dark Mode switcher, you need to disable the Dark Theme by going to Appearance → Customize → General → Colors and turning off the "Enable Dark Theme" option.
Ok, that seems to have corrected it. I do have to add though, that process of selecting that seems redundant then and opens up for errors like this. I'm not sure why that enable feature is there then since in the Dark Mode section it has the option to use dark mode as default. It's extremely confusing. However, I've turned it off where you said and now it seems to work and I do still have it available to viewers to turn on Dark Mode. Thank you.
