When I disable the double opt-in option in the MailChimp plugin, I receive an error message when trying to sign up through the form. However, the double opt-in option is also disabled within MailChimp itself.
In this case, please try turning off the AJAX form and then check again by going to Appearance → Customize → General → Extra Options and disabling the "Enable Ajax Submit for MC4WP" option.
Thanks, I figured out myself that it's probably this option. However, after disabling, the text appears below the form instead of in a popup: https://prnt.sc/Lcl9B9WzNHLS
I don't want a popup, I don't want notification at all. The point is that when I disable the double opt-in option in the MailChimp plugin, I receive an error message when trying to sign up through the form. That was my initial question :)
I disabled the double opt-in option in MailChimp and also in the plugin. However, after filling in the form, I received an error message. When I enable the double opt-in function in the plugin, everything works fine—but I don’t want to use double opt-in. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Do you mean that you want the user to enter their email and name, click submit, and see no message appear on your site? If so, that's not possible because it is a requirement of Mailchimp and the MC4WP plugin.
Please understand that the Soledad theme does not control this workflow. It only displays the form, while all data is processed and handled by Mailchimp.
Hi,
When I disable the double opt-in option in the MailChimp plugin, I receive an error message when trying to sign up through the form. However, the double opt-in option is also disabled within MailChimp itself.
Do you have any idea what might be causing this?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
This notification is managed by Mailchimp, and our theme only displays or updates it for users. Therefore, you should not remove it.

Yes, that's what I mean. Now I have to enable the double opt-in option to let the subscription work while I don't have a double opt-in...
