I read that the template works with polylang. So far I found it super intuitive, but for the footer section, I am stuck a bit. I created a second (english) footer menu, which I would want to be activated when switching to en language. For other menus that just works. For the footer the Elementor Builder statically only selects one footer menu. Can it be configured to solect the menu based on the selected language?
Please go to Appearance → Customize → General → Extra Options, click the "Fix Polylang Translations Issues" button, then clear all site cache and browser cache, and check again.
Done, but that does not help. I build the footer as penci block (footer nav menu). That seemed most intuitive. But here may also be the problem. i can only select a certain menu here (see screen).
as explained before, that is what I did. But what I want is that the language switch also works as the pencil block builder seems not to support that even though the theme template says it supports Polylang.
I understand the approach. Thank you. But Polylang has no string translation for "penci_footer_builder_layout" (this string is not available, nor any other footer string). Maybe the footer layout slug is not a standard string for polylang and somehow specifically handled in your theme? Not sure if I must make polylang "learn" the string somehow?
I’ve re-checked your site, and you’re currently using the Boostify Header Footer Builder for Elementor plugin for your custom header/footer layout instead of the Soledad theme’s default settings. This is why all the instructions I sent do not work.
Ok. I deinstalled the plugin in re-instated the header with your template. But still the same result. Polylang does not have a string for "penci_footer_builder_layout". I assume the plugin was not the problem here... What can be done to make the theme footer work with polylang?

Hi,
If you want to build a Penci Block and assign it as a footer, please select it at Appearance → Customize → Footer → Footer Builder.

Hi,
I’ve checked your site. Please follow these steps to create a footer block for each language:
1. Create a Footer for each language via Penci Blocks,
2. Go to Languages → String Translation: Search and replace the following options:
- penci_footer_builder_layout: footer layout page slug,
Enter the page slug you've created for each language on this page.

Hi,
The Soledad theme already includes all the features you need to build the header/footer with Elementor and easily translate everything for multiple languages. Please follow the documentation at this link: https://soledad.pencidesign.net/soledad-document/#header-footer-builder

Hi,
I just modified the config file for Polylang. You can now search for and translate this footer slug.
