    The Soledad theme is compatible with PHP 8 version right?

    Hi,

    The Soledad theme is compatible with the latest version of PHP, but I recommend also checking all the installed plugins.

    Thanks.

    Our Soledad is currently running on PHP 8.3.
    However, I still have an outdated WPBakery plugin (v6.1) installed. Whenever I try to update it, I keep getting an error message. How essential is this plugin for the theme? If it isn’t, I might as well remove it.

    Since we mainly use ‘posts’ and very few ‘pages’, I assume the impact might be limited in our case.

    Hi,

    I’ll be happy to send that, but do you know if WPBakery is being used by the theme? If not, I’ll just remove the plugin so I won’t need to update it.

    Hi,

    If your site does not use WPBakery Page Builder to create any pages or posts, you can safely deactivate it without any risk.

    This is the Gutenberg editor, the default editor of WordPress, and it is not part of WPBakery Page Builder.

    Okay, thank you. I have a few 'pages' where I used WPBakery Page Builder. What will happen to those pages once I remove this plugin?

    Hi,

    WPBakery Page Builder renders content using shortcodes. If you disable this plugin, any content built with it will appear as plain shortcode text. To fix this, you will need to rebuild the content using another page builder plugin, such as Elementor.
