Subject: Mobile Menu displays wrong menu (Primary/Main Menu instead of “Mobile Menu”)

    Message:

    Hello PenciDesign Support Team,

I’m experiencing a recurring issue with the Soledad theme’s mobile hamburger/side menu.

Even though I have a custom “Mobile Menu” created and correctly selected under:

Customizer → Header Builder → Mobile Sidebar → Mobile Sidebar Menu → Select Menu

…the front-end mobile menu still displays my Primary/Main Menu instead.

    Details

Theme: Soledad (current version, with Child Theme active)

    Site: [insert your site URL]

Header Builder: Only one header template (“Header Large Logo”) is active

Issue confirmed in both the main theme and child theme

“Content not found” message appears in Customizer preview (likely unrelated)

    What’s Been Tested / Attempted

Assigned “Mobile Menu” as the selected menu under Mobile Sidebar Menu.

Tried assigning “Mobile Menu” to multiple menu locations.

Deleted and recreated “Mobile Sidebar Menu” elements in Header Builder.

    Cleared all caches and CDN.

Added a custom PHP filter to force wp_nav_menu_args to call “Mobile Menu” — no change.

Confirmed this is a known behavior caused by the header-mobile-drawer.php template forcing a static theme location (“primary”) rather than the selected menu.

    Expected Behavior

When selecting a menu under Mobile Sidebar Menu → Select Menu, the mobile hamburger / sidebar navigation should display that menu only — not the primary menu.

    Request

    Can you please confirm whether:

There’s a patch, function, or setting to make the Mobile Sidebar Menu respect the selected menu, or

A known fix or update is available for this issue.

Thank you for your time and help. I can provide temporary admin access if needed.

    Best regards,
    Paul Beroff

    Hi,

The issue is that you’ve assigned the wrong menu element for mobile. Please add the “Mobile Menu Icon” instead of the “Hamburger Menu”, and then check again.
