Video Blackout on Mobile Device

    For some reason that I am not aware of videos added to the theme play in the preview of the page but not live on mobile devices. The video was created in Canva and uploaded to the media library and linked to the video module used on the page. Not sure if it's video format or optimization. Could it me a theme or plugin conflict? Thank you.

    Happy New Year.  I am finally back with an update. I created a test page and captured images from the desktop, iPhone and iPad.

    Hi,

    I can confirm that this is an issue with Elementor’s HTML rendering of the video. In this case, you can fix it by inserting the video using the HTML format with the following code:

    <video loop controls='true' width='100%' height='100%'>
       <source src='https://ncro.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Happy-Holiday-Video.mp4' type='video/mp4'>
    </video>

    Regards,
    PenciDesign.

    Great, the HTML code format worked.  However, there was no video image mask, just a play button.  Can we fix that?  Thanks.

    Hi,

    You can modify the code:

    <video
      loop
      controls
      width="100%"
      height="100%"
      poster="insert-poster-image-link-here"
    >
      <source src="https://ncro.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Happy-Holiday-Video.mp4" type="video/mp4">
    </video>
